Hi, I’m Diane Carney, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and someone who truly believes in the power of healing, growth, and connection. I began seeing therapy clients in 2017 and started my private practice in 2024 after a 20 year long career working in human services. My goal has always been simple: to help people feel seen, supported, and understood.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Utah State University in 2017, but my journey into the mental health field started long before that. Like many people, I went through my share of personal struggles in early adulthood. At the time, I didn’t have the support I needed, and that experience inspired me to become the kind of helper I wish I’d had.

I strongly believe our attachment and trauma play a role in our day to day functioning. My goal is to create a safe space for exploration and through clinically tested evidence-based interventions help people heal and integrate any unresolved trauma. This will help alleviate symptoms and improve life. Everyone deserves to be fully present in their life without the burdens and pains of the past or worries about the future weighing them down. I have a strong interest in depression, anxiety, and recovery from abusive relationships.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems, and Coherence Therapy have proven to be effective treatments providing relief from emotional and physical discomfort related to the effects of trauma. There is nothing more rewarding for a therapist than witnessing the shift that takes place for each client as they heal.

Whether you're going through a tough time, facing big life changes, or just need someone to talk to, I’m commited to helping and serving others. It is such a blessing to be hold space and honor the process of emotional healing for others.
